Victory Contador biggest scam in sports history

A literal citation from the German doping hunter Werner Franke. He claims to own documents from the Spanish police investigation which reveal the involvement of Contador in the "Operacion Puerto". Apparently, Contador had much stronger bonds to Fuentes than was thought up to now. Franke also says he has the official records of the razzia at Fuentes' place, which include a list of products administered to Contador: HMG (Human Menopause Gonadotrophin), insuline and TGN (an asthma therapeutic).
Hehe... a clean victory

Reference?

I'm still on the fence on this one, mainly because I'd love to believe that Contador is clean, because if he is, he's going to be one of the greatest cyclists of all time.

He can claim whatever he wants. Are the documents authentic? Has he shown them to anyone? Does he stand to gain anything from the situation, other than 15 minutes of scandalous fame? What is his position, that allows him to be in possession of sealed police documents from another country?

If it's true, why hasn't it come out earlier? Very suspicious timing IMO. Europeans annoyed that the Tour has been won by an American team? (Yes, I know The Condor is Spanish)

Maybe you should know that Franke is a high-ranked member of the German judicial system. He obtained the documents in respect with the Ullrich case. So you better rethink your point of view.

The timing is highly suspicious and Contador was cleared from Puerto by the Spanish cops. Why wouldn't this guy come out before?

I think he's trying to feed a common perception I've seen recently - people think that you have to take dope to win. I wonder if this sentiment is set in paranoia or something deeper... maybe that people can't deal with the fact that others are better at sports than they are?

If the press was around to see the first amphibian haul itself out of the ocean, hey would have called the UCI for testing and would have found some whacko claiming that he saw the amphibian taking drugs. Is it cheating if it's evolution?

IF the guy really is a high ranking member of the German judiciary and IF he received these documents in connection with a case . . . (1) he doesn't own the documents, and (2) he is violating ethical rules by using them for his own purposes. He would be safer financially and professionally to forge documents than to do this with authentic documents.

Second . . . "biggest scam in sports history" is the language of a showman. He's obviously in it for some kind of financial deal.

Third . . . has he never heard of Rosie Ruiz? Even if Contador were administered bad stuff all those years ago -- heck, even if he had an I.V. in his arm during the TT, this year's TdF can't break into the top 25 scams in sports history. Not even close!

I didn't express my point of view. I asked questions in order to formulate one. You assume too much.

And we all know how the German judicial system has worked over the years. Making a claim is one thing, but backing it up with documents is a horse of a different color.

Just like everyone claiming Lance has tested positive for EPO...! It was all heresay, controversy and subterfuge.

Contador was cleared by the Spanish authorities in "Puerto"...and they started the investigation FFS!

Well, as for the Puerto case, everybody was cleared... only because there doesn't seem to be a Spanish law that forbids you from taking stimulating substances. So on a legal basis, everybody walks out... but it doesn't mean they were not involved in it. Information we get here seems to be much clearer in these cases than what is spread on the other side of the ocean. And based on some of the comments, some people are confusing legal terms with associations rules.

All English-speaking sources that I have read state that Contador was implicated in Puerto only because his name came up twice when discussing unrelated race results on the phone.

It really is becoming a witch hunt. Guilty until proven innocent, and the burden of proof is insurmountable.

Does this guy have any connection to the brainiac Stuttgart Councilwoman who wants to bar Zabel from the world Championships because he confessed to briefly using EPO 11 years ago?

FWIW Contador has said he's willing to take a DNA test to prove he did not use Fuentes' services. I don't hear Bettini saying that....

Hmm...do we believe this report, or do we believe Werner the dope hunter? I imagine those who think Epogen causes brain aneurysms, will side with Werner. He doesn't seem to have an agenda, right?

You do have to wonder what the idiots that post threads with incindiary titles like this would ever do if they had to substantiate their screaming topic headlines with anything approaching credible evidence? Like:

Huvi Is Cross Dressing Cycling Witch...Discuss!

And now you know how all the Contador fans feel after reading the initial post.

Oh, I am so sorry... did I hurt your feelings? Get a grip and at least try to read what the so-called idiot (using words like these on a forum probably tell more about you than about me) has posted. It was the headline in our sports news today. It is a literal citation of what the German Werner Franke has said, based on documents he owns. It's not my opinion, I don't even care about who wins the Tour. I only wanted to inform this to the people here. If all there is to do then for you is to start insulting others, then I don't know what is the meaning posting topics. Think about it (if you have the ability to do so...).

By the way, I still don't know how the Contador fans feel now...

And so it continues. I would like to believe that AC is innocent. Then again I swore that Basso was innocent and I was of course wrong. It seems more like if there is smoke there is fire, I hope this is wrong, not just for AC but for all of us who love this sport.

Come on Huvi. If any of us had a real grip, would we be on BF?

The idiotic part isn't posting a link to a current newspaper story calling Contador's 'clean' status into question. No, the dopey aspect of the OP is characterizing this allegedly alleged unproven hearsay newspaper story you can wipe your ass with as 'the biggest scam in sports history'. Do us a favor, try using that in a court of law. Let us know how that works out for you poindexter. In the meantime eat some Pommes Frites and smoke a pack of rancid Flanders cigarettes for me.

I know what we should do let's contact the press and demand Contador be stripped of the title. Let them know that bikeforums.net has several posters with very compelling evidence.

So it was Franke who said, "Hehe... a clean victory?" I don't think so. It's not a good idea to deny having written something that's at the top of the very page where you deny it.
