After a Draught...

I started off in a good mood, doing a pretty good warmup leading to the race and keeping very well hydrated, also relieving myself of a good 5 lbs of crap before I left the house.
I contested in all of the primes, and actually won one by leading a solo break for three laps (~7 miles). During the break my computer went haywire and didn't read the speed so I went off of cadence and treated it as a TT, keeping my head, breathing and lactic acid down and cadence and speed up.
I put a lot of distance on the group and they didn't catch me until I slowed down after I wont the prime.
Since there are some really good sprinters in the group, I don't stand a good chance against them because I lack the acceleration they have and have about the same top-end.
After I got caught I stayed near the front, contested the next prime and lost. I was still at the top of my game until the last turn going onto the main straight, where I went all out a half-mile before the finish to blow up the race and make it more interesting.
So I went into my aero position and led the group at 35mph and then pulled off. Luckily, my coach and teammate won for the second week in a row.

So I won a prime and I think I had a hand in my coach winning the race and taking points lead. A job well done.

I think my bike gets better than 35mpg. :D

Good job! I couldn't pull a group around at 35mph in my car. Awesome work.

Glad to hear you're re-finding your form. Amazing what a drink can do to end a drought :D

I always do better after a few draughts...must be the beer goggles helping aero.

I don't sweat a lot, so my economy is way up there.
I can only do 35mph sitting for like 100m, 25 of which is problably my momentum when I'm coasting.:p
I knew I spelled "Drought" wrong when I hit "Submit". Damn, there goes my Official BF Perfect Spelling record.
