Any Racing in AZ in January??

My team is going to get together in AZ for a Training camp this winter, and I was wondering if there are any races that early in the season there. This would be near the end of January. I know that some of you Cali people have races on New Years day (Hill climbs no less), so I figured that it may be possible. Oh, and there is no need to let me know that training camp is for base building and that there shouldn't be racing blah blah. Just info if you have it.

Thanks in advance.

Don't know about racing, but having spent a week in Tucson last January, the weather was/is great. I left my bike at home (too expensive to put it on the airline) but saw lots of riders pedaling up Gates Pass (just outside our rental house). Be sure to go downtown and poke around Fairwheel Bikes. Great folks and lots of high end goodies to drool over. And no, I do not work for them as I live over 1000 miles away. Also, if you want a true sampling of ALL the cuisines of Mexico go to Cafe Poca Cosa downtown.

Schedule for the '08 season usually comes out in December. First race starts around the 2nd or 3rd week of January.

Is anyone else disappointed with azcycling.com? I find it is lacking information and connectivity at times. I'd like to see a section showing scheduled group rides that LBS' organize around town. The forum isn't very popular either over there.

Including the wed night crit series I counted 42. Go to the calendar function and look back at '07 to get a good idea of what races to expect in '08.
