Lake CX400 Cycling Shoes

Anyone used Lake CX400 shoes? Lake makes the only brand that fit me. So I was wondering if the more expensive Lakes are worth it or not. Or, should I buy the cheaper ones? Any other feedback.

Never worn them, but a Cat 3 on my team swears by the more expensive Lake shoes, take it for what is worth.

My team's elite squad all had them this year. They all love them. And, they look great. There might be a new colorway coming out soon though, with a red tongue to the shoe, and everything else white. Either that, or one of the guys just has a one-off pair. I'd call them, personally.

I want to ride for them next year, just for the shoes...

Yes, I've had a pair for about 3 months now, and for my feet, they're great. Don't know how they'd feel on your feet, though.

They run narrow, so I'd highly suggest trying a pair on. My feet are very narrow, especially in the heel/ankle area (where the carbon wraps the foot), and the C/D width is nice & snug. Most everyone else at my shop who got them ended up getting the D/E width, which seems more along the lines of a "medium". The Boa system rocks, and I like the way Lake does it vs. the Specialized S-Works, which I tried on last year. I don't even notice I have them on my feet when I'm riding. I'm glad I didn't have to pay full retail for them. I can't answer if you'd think they're worth it, but for my feet ... they are.

Oh, and as another poster mentioned, the pair I have are the ones that are red & white, which I haven't seen on Lake's website or anywhere else for that matter.
