Long shot, but is anyone using this to keep a spreadsheet that you wouldn't mind showing?

We use Google s'sheet to track development projects. It works well, easily allowing people in several locations to view, edit and update the document. The version control is pretty good too. It isn't excel, which we use for things like financial projections, etc. but it does probably 90% of what you need done with a s'sheet.

I can't share ours though, internal use only . But give it a try - can't beat the cost!

I'm not looking for business spreadsheets...I'm looking for cycle training spreadsheets (this is the racing forum no?). I haven't graduated to cyclingpeaks or any of that stuff yet. I like the google concept as I can get to it anywhere in the world.

Sorry, I wasn't clear what you were looking for. Try a search for excel on the forums - I know there have been a couple of threads where people shared excel based training s'sheets. Any excel workbook should import cleanly into Google Docs. We only have occasional issues when there are a bunch of macros and other stuff.

You've missed (or skipped) about 5 teals on TXBRA, Slowtwitch, and Austin Craigslist in the past 2 days, Senor.

Stop slacking and bust out 'da cash. Or something like that.

I'm watching very closely -- those deals all sucked. I will get a $500 system off ebay, for Christmas.

I just took a baseball bat to my idealistic budgetary behavior though -- my right brifter finally went bad after 7 years, and I had to replace it for $190

I had posted WTBs on CL and Txbra, got no response, and ordered yesterday. Then, this afternoon, the exact shifter I need hit CL They're way off on the asking price though, so that may have gone nowhere.

Hopefully it will be here Thursday.

I'd like the Google spreadsheets a lot better if they supported macros of some sort. Hopefully not VBA, either.

Mine don't make the 1mb restriction for spreadsheets. Lots of formulas, multiple pages and charts:

Season that just ended:
https://www.cycleiwakuni.com/download...planner-07.xls (~5MB)

Season that just commenced:
https://www.cycleiwakuni.com/download...planner-08.xls (~8MB, bunch of formulas added)

This month with the new season I'm going to move all the formulas over to VBA to shrink the files.

see the 'cycling log' link in my sig - i think that's the kind of thing you're looking for.

i just keep mileage/gain data mostly, nothing spectacular, but it's nice to:

a) have a graph of my mileage
b) be able to get to it anywhere

i'd like to tie the spreadsheets into an website that's made for cycling-stats, one day.

Does the spreadsheet need to be online? If you are looking just for a free spreadsheet/database/document suite try https://www.openoffice.org/

Yeah, portable apps are close... still requires the usb drive. Internet apps are unique.
