Is PCad in here?

Today's Nyack ride, the last of 2007. I see PCaddy's colors, but is it him? The video is not so exciting...not like MINE, but hey, it's a cycling video. We need more of them!

is that pcaddy in the latter part (with metallica)?

lot's of bow legged dudes at the nyack ride.

btw - hate to break it to you, but your taste in soundtracks leaves something to be desired. just sayin'

ElJamoquio 12-30-07 10:06 PM

Hmmm, pace looks slow enough...

From 4:52 to 5:30 or so I'm the dude with the pink band across the jersey and the dayglo green jacket peeking out of the back pocket. The guy who took the video is Mikey G., fastest TT dude in NJ. He'd shell you like a cheap oyster ELj. It wasn't that fast today, but it wasn't slow either. It's never slow. I have a couple of pals who do it on a fixed gear, but you do have to spin @ 35-40mph down the hill by the reservoir. That's tough.

ElJamoquio 12-30-07 10:24 PM

You move your hips like Shakira, pcad.

It's going to take a lot of booze to remove that from my memory. Fortunately I have a lot of booze.

I think it's White zombie. Oh, and not my video. Talk to Mike G about soundtrack choices. :)

Yep, knows how to work it for the camera.

You're all too Wussy for the Nyack Ride anyway.

Yes the music sucks. By the way, at one point we cycle right past my old High School (Northern Valley Regional HS @ Demarest, Class of 1975). In keeping with that nostalgia, I'd replace the soundtrack on that video with a little Bread. Baby I'm-A Want You and Aubrey.

I will harrass Mikey G. the next time I see him. It's hard yelling at Mike because he's too fast and he's too nice. But I'll try. The Nyack Ride RULES. Without that ride I might have to actually race again to get my yayas out, that would suck.

NomadVW 12-31-07 05:24 AM

It's gonna be so cool to have groups that size riding together. Last "group" ride I was on ended up with 3 of us. The time before that was 4. Before that 3, and before that 5. Everything else is races for me in 2007.

You're all turkeys. Somebody from this Think Tank should show up for Nyack some Sunday besides KP. What the hell ever happened to KP anyway?

That's the view from Pcad's office window @ 8AM this morning. As you'll note, we have eschewed a downtown location.

How is it I ride my bike like 12K miles annually and go to the gym and I can't get a six-pack going on like those drunken college kids? Sometimes I can, but I have to 'pose down' which is a pretty hilarious spectacle.

MMM.... wild turkey. Tasty, unlike the swill that bears its name.

ElJamoquio 12-31-07 08:29 AM

P.S.: Pcad, I am going to join you on the Nyack group ride one day. Right now I'm thinking the day after Mt. Washington hillclimb, but we'll see.

That's ideal. After Mt. Washington you will be utter and complete toast, and you will be perfect Nyack Ride kindling. Bring your GPS equipped cellphone so you can navigate back to the starting point after you are shelled like an old pistachio.

I need to do an East Coast tour soon. Perhaps September, when my cousin gets married in DC.

And I must say, it's rare to get one complete ProTour kit on a ride, let alone two of the same team.

The first song by Incubus was a nice touch, by the way. The second song, not so much.

patentcad 12-31-07 09:10 AM

All meat for the Nyack Grinder my little weenies. Oh yes.

fixed.

JBS103 12-31-07 09:21 AM

I have no excuse for not coming really. I might be 25 miles from the start.

I don't think I would hang at this moment in time though. Although, if I ever did have legs to do Gimbels, this would probably be a nice alternative. Every time I am out and Gimbels comes by it looks like a mad house on wheels. I guess I have to get used to that.

Tomorrow, when I turn 50, then you can post that, botto.

But, I just remembered a pic I took that bolstered your case:
