Peletoncycles.com ????

Has anyone had experience with Peltoncycles.com??? They've got crazy low prices for Zipps listed on their website, but I've been calling for 3 days with no answer. Do they really exist? When I saw their prices, I expected them to be one of the scams that always has a UK address, but I thought it was worth looking into.

They are registered by proxy, i.e. it makes it more difficult to find out who actual owns the place. If no one can vouch for them, I'd be scared to give them my money. Maybe that is standard godaddy stuff, but just seems sketchy.

The two domains I own are by GoDaddy's proxy. Keeps personal information off the whois search.

Googling their phone number brings them up on SRM's and Xlab's web sites as dealers for their products.

Ok I thought that might be the case. Wow, then those really are good prices for Zipps...

You could try a PM: http://www.bikeforums.net/showpost.p...73&postcount=7 .

I have made a few purchases from Peleton, with good results and no problems. The person I talked to is Mark Kouri. They are based in New Jersey The prices were very good and the products were as represented.

Well, he shows PowerCranks for $200 less than the manufacturer and he's not listed as a dealer with them. The HED's are pretty close to cost. I would definitley do some research before sending 2K their way.

Looking at his prices and looking at our wholesale prices really makes me wonder how he is doing it. If they are legit I don't know how he is going to make it.

He appears to have two entire sites: one that says "Call for pricing" on everything and one that lists prices. Hmm ...

Compare the Zipp page that OC Roadie linked to to what you get if you go to his homepage (www.pelotoncycles.com) and click wheelsets then Zipp. Gee, now all the prices have disappeared. My guess is he puts the low price pages up to make Google hits, then when people call, he says "Oops! That's an old page, the real price is ..."
