Were you there?

Saw a whole bunch of groups on my way back from White's Ferry today. First group at about 10 am, whole gaggle of non-kitted folks (couple folks up front on HED tri-spoke fronts). Then I saw the Route 1 Velo folks in kit a bit after that. I was heading eastbound on River Road back to DC in all black from top to bottom (sans the red/white/blue Giro Atmos).

Great to see so many riders out on a frigid morning (though admittedly fewer riders were out when I left the house this morning @ 7 am.

At 7 AM and 21F I would have preferred to be back in San Diego. But we've got a forecast for 69F by Tuesday. So... that's the mid-atlantic I remember.

Not today, but we were out on the road at same time, just a bit different direction. I ride out in that area daily (when sufficient daylight). We head out at 7:30 tomorrow, PM me if you're interested in joining us (you'd likely be towing us around).

I was out on River with some teammates earlier. Not at the same time, though.. we decided to favor our extremities by riding in the middle of the day

Great minds think alike, and so do we. I wasn't there, but I also went out today wearing black Nalini socks, black PI Ultrasensor shorts, black Nalini jersey, black PI "White Line" gloves, and a Red/White/Blue Atmos lid. I don't think that anyone would ever mistake me for you, though.

I'll be heading into DC via the W&OD later today - probably visit the bike shop in GTown then turn around and come back... 50 miles total, give or take.

I have never even thought about covering up the CPU, not a bad idea though. I've ridden with mine in some pretty nasty rain / sleet / snow and never had a problem. Once the temps get below thirty just make sure the hub has some fresh batteries in it or you may not get all of your data.

Oh yeah, fixed the title for ya.

NCVC "espresso ride" was decent. A little slower than I would have liked for the most part. I would have liked to sit on the front a bit more but not knowing the route makes that tough. (I blew through a couple turns as it was while rotating through the paceline) Climbs were good, but everything I've done around here is so much shorter than I'm used to. Couple of the guys were good enough to warn me about "race" points and stretches where we would stretch out our egos a little. Hopefully I didn't embarrass myself too much.

Folks could probably tell I'm not used to group rides after riding solo for most of my time on the bike other than races. Weather turned out great. Looking forward to the rest of the week of riding here. Temps forecasted 66, 65, 61,50, 49 M-F
