Pcad bribes his way onto a legit team.
Globallocate.
That's my pal's company, now part of Broadcom. When he approached BRCM about sponsoring the cycling team the laughed at him, so he's doing it personally and I'm helping him co-sponsor. They now have to let me race with the GL jersey no matter how slow I am. In fact I'm planning on ordering them to go fetch me friggin club sodas on the line in Central Park in March. That's the team kit above, hopefully sans the tube socks and plus matching caps (I'm wearing a (cringe) Gotham cap in that picture).
I suck at this of course, but having a team to work for will be fun. You're all in big trouble now. Pcad is back. Maybe off the back actually, but back nonetheless. As I've said before, there is no limit to the depths to which I will stoop to race my bicycle. I can go lower too.
I'm definitely getting too old for this ****. All the more reason to do it, eh?

Quoteth the PCAD "They now have to let me race with the GL jersey no matter how slow I am."
This sort of makes you an Elder Shepherd.
Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of faster cyclists, and a partaker of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of Broadcom among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of Broadcom; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. And when the finish line appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Yep, I know I'm gonna burn for this.

If you are off the back, you are not "working for the team"...that's on, um, page 46 of the manual.
You are welcome.
BTW...get one of these for the your Cechu Rubiera-type efforts
I like the colors. They will show up well from the helicopters.

35+. And that's way too young for me. I need a nice, sedate 45+ race. Last March it was quite a crashfest in Central Park. Ooofaaa. I hope they paved that stupid park road. I had never seen it quite that bad before.

If you can age yourself to 35 years old and move to NYC, I'll guarantee you a spot. GL is all old guys. I think our youngest guy is like 40. But one of our guys did win the NYC 40+ RR in Central Park last summer. So some of them are reasonably fast. And of course, they're all faster than me.

My pal Don and I were planning on going to Branchbrook one weekend last Spring Dr. W. It was really pissing rain that particular day, so we passed. I'll mostly be in Central and Prospect in March/April, but I'll bump into you either in Newark or at one of those NJ Cup TT events. Hope to do a few of those. I'd like to do 20 or so races between the mass start events and the TTs. And as many Nyacks as that allows. I have to PM you about how to get this arthritic right knee to calm down (chronic swelling/stiffness sometimes, lack of cartilidge since a 1989 operation). It's not painful, but it doesn't exactly make you want to hammer. Two days of group rides last weekend (the Park Ridge Ride Sat/Nyack Sun) that were @ race pace (all racing dudes, they always hammer) and it acted up. 50 miles today, tried to keep it in the little ring. Rain is moving in, that never helps. Hopefully it calms down by the weekend. It usually does. The Glucosamine/Chondroitin seems to help.

hmmm, it seems to me I remember a movie where a no talent kid got on a time by buying his way in.... Ah yes, Draco Malfoy.
A new user name perhaps? Well, at least Patentcad is honest about it. If you can't compete, buy your way in - seems to be a well honored tradition around NYC if I recall.
