paolo bettini rides alone. last year he lead A grupetto, stomping the pedals out of the saddle with his gold-tipped sidis............

maybe a moment of introspection for the two-time world champ as he rides the AtoC for the last time?

To me he is thinking about what happened to the pleasure the pain used to bring. That is an image of an aging, (yet highly competitive), athlete. Tired, capable, but not enthused.

Now we know what he was pondering.........

What the 'F' is that and how am I going to get around it!

Do I have my glasses on, I don't want my eyes poked out.

How/why is that guy running around in a pair of Sidi's, gonna mess those $400 shoes up

That guy must have a strong neck. . . .

I'm not sure if I can like Elk Man anymore, he appears to be a U of M Griz, I being a Bobcat fan this does not bode well.
