OSU Collegiate Crit Canceled RR pending
From the MWCCC Facebook group...
OSU Cycling regrets to inform MWCCC that we are cancelling the Saturday criterium because we can't guarantee a safe race course. The Sunday race is still pending.
Ohio State Transportation & Parking considers the criterium course a low priority, and apart from that, they are low on salt.
As of 1:30 this afternoon there was snow and ice in all the turns and with the forecast it is better overall to cancel the race.
Check our website for any last minute changes regarding the status of the Sunday road race.

your telling me. I am from Michigan tech. Its 13 hour drive in good weather. They closed the Mackinaw bridge for 2 hours today because of ice from the cables falling onto the road way, so that would have made it even more fun.
The official call was made 2 hours AFTER me and my buddy (big team lol) decided to call it and not go. Glad we decided to say no, as we would have been in for a HUGE disappointment.

I'm not so sure that the RR is going to be canceled, we shouldn't have any precipitation after late friday night/early saturday. But I also don't know if anyone's going to be there if it's not canceled.

if all goes as planned, and the race isn't cancelled, i will likely be there with uc. it will be my first race of the season, and my first college race, so i will be rusty and inexperienced with the category differences. yikes. i will probably do the b or c race (kinda out of shape right now due to medical issues). hopefully i will see you guys there.

Looks like we will all be waiting until Depauw. Hopefully it won't be canceled like it was last season. Cross your fingers...

Thanks Matt, but were not going to make the long drive just for one day. We will wait for depauw next week. In some ways, I am kinda glad. For some reason, this week, I haven't been feeling up to par on the trainer. I can't get my HR up, and I feel like my endurance is shot. Hopefully, a nice easy week will cure that.
