New Baby Arrives!!!

Here's some pics of my new ride

I did some mods at the shop as follows: Swapped Bonty Race X Lite saddle for a Toupe Team, added Look Keo Carbon Pedals (chromoly spindles), swapped the Bonty Race X Lite Compact Crank for a standard Dura Ace 53/39, added red Selle San Marco bar tape, swapped the Bonty Race X Lite tires for Specialized Mondo 23c, and added ZIPP carbon bottle cages. Before the changes, the bike weighed in at 15.3 lbs w/out pedals (58cm frame). BTW, I'm running a SRAM 11-26 cassette.

I rode my pal's 6.9, may have been the best racing bike ever. Nice ride. Enjoy.

The ultimate irony is that you think this will make you faster. Silly weenie. I would too.

For some silly reason, I don't like treks-although I just sold one that was a great ride-I can't figure it either. I am trying to think of something negative to say about your bike and can't find anything. that is a sweet bike. I love the way you have the colours blended, it looks like a lot of thought went into it.
Very subtle. Enjoy.

Glad you all like it. I have to thank my boys at the LBS for helping me "personalize" the bike. I hung out there Saturday (I ride with the guys there on Sundays) for a couple of hours trying different combinations until we got it just right. I was holding out for a "Project One" paint job, but Trek isn't offering them until late summer. Instead of waiting, I took the 6.5 with this nice nude carbon/silver scheme, and worked on highlighting the red in the wheels/frame w/out going over the top with it........I'm very happy with the results.......Now I have no excuses this race season (raced last year on a Trek Pilot).

Baby? Looking at it that must have hurt like hell to deliver it. But it certainly looks very cute!

But in all seriousness, this is a great looking bike!

Very nice bike, I would not pay MSPR though. I did not know that they made it in the black, the LBS that I ride for only has it in white and I love it.

Didn't pay MSRP. Payed $5,199 (MSRP $5,829). I also get 20% off all accessories from my LBS.

As I'm an old GEEZER (45), my back won't let me lose too many of them I will try to lose one more, though.
