Perry races
I raced.
With Merlinextralight even.
I did OK in the circuit race, worked a lot, attacked a few times, shut down a few break-away attempts, and of course did my normal getting effed up in the final sprint, but still placed top 20.
I didn't do well in the perry-roubaix road race. I got pinched out on a hill 2 miles into the race when a guy dropped his chain then stopped his bike and stood up. One of my teammates was attacking on the hill, and by the time I got around the charlie-foxtrot I was dropped. I rode the other 46 miles pretty much solo, picking up people here or there, but never a contingent of guys strong enough willing to work hard enough to get back on. But I was not DFL.
My teammate probably won the KOM points.

The Perry-Roubaix RR was easily the hardest race I've ever done. I pretty much lost my will to live after the 4th lap(we had 6 to do).
I did okay in the other races, got 4th in the 3's TT and 2nd in the circuit race. Basically a few teams tried breaks, but with the windy conditions, none could stick. So about lap 13-14ish out of 25, I started talking to teammates about making it a field sprint and chasing down everything. I was expecting a leadout from a teammate, didn't get it, so I missed the first jump and couldn't catch the lead guy so I got 2nd.

Saw my results, and a least a couple of silver linings. 1) Not DFL either day. 2) I only lost 18 minutes to the peloton in the course of my (mostly) 45 mile ITT.
Neither one of which is of any consequence, but I'm trying to stay positive here.

I got tenth in the TT, That hill at the turnaround was not big guy friendly and hurt me bad but whatever, I plan to loose another 30lbs and that should make the climbs a little faster. My not so aero self managed to pass three guys on my not so aero bike on the TT so I guess I did OK. My rear derailler cable broke on the Circut race. I was stuck in the 11 and was doing pretty well till the cable got wrapped around the crank and then it was game over.
