Training/Racing for a Team vs. Riding Last Year

Last year I was riding 50+ more miles weekly, generally 7 days a week. This year I'm racing on weekends. By Monday I'm fried. I really have to take a day off the bike. I raced over 40 miles yesterday. It was like 90 mins. of intense intervals. I'm fitter, faster, leaner. This is harder, but it's more fun. Plus we got the new Giro team helmets yesterday. They are Utter Schwag.

That is all.

I have the new Giro too. Much, much faster. I think it jammed 10 more watts in the legs.

Fitter. Leaner. Faster. Harder. Words to live by - and women love to hear.

I don't think "faster" would make that cut.

I'm going to add the voice of a woman here and say that I concur.

I'm with you... riding much less this year due to racing, but am much faster. And when not racing, I'm doing harder and faster training rides. Come mondays I'm usually pretty worked over.
