Santiago Canyon TT

I'll heading to Irvine on Saturday for the Ant Hill TT a.k.a. Santiago Canyon. Anybody have any tips on pacing, equipment, general strategy? From the profile it looks like its about 11 miles with most of the climbing in the first half then downhill/rolling to the finish.
