OK, so here is a sort of update. I have a lot to do, and I am really stiff/sore so I will address individual posts when I get the chance.

Per the advice of everyone, I went to the doctor last night at around 10:00. As soon as I walked in they told me not to move and I was in a bed and neckbrace in no time. After they chewed me out for not coming earlier, they stuck me with iv's did blood tests etc..

I was put through a ct scan and some x-rays, and then they came back and poked around. They told me that nothing was broken or anything, but they were worried about possible ligament damage at the base of my neck. They sent me back for more x-rays, to double check that area of my neck. When I got back they told me that they thought it was all fine and that the only thing is that there might be some hyperextension of the ligaments in my neck (i.e. whiplash.) They gave me some medicine and sent me out the door a little after 3:30am.

On a different note, they all told me that it was definitely the right thing to do. I was hesitant to go, because I didn't think I was hurt, but after hearing some horror stories, I am glad I did. They told me to lay of the bridge jumping and cycling for a while and to come back if the pain doesn't go away in the next couple days. This is all fine with me obviously, so now I can have this time to get a new helmet, and figure out the wheel situation.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I appreciate it. I will let ya'll know if anything else happens.

PS: Ok, and to address the accident itself. My handlebar was snagged on someone's knee which sent me into the curb. It wasn't that far, and I am sure I would have recovered if I had a bit of room to straighten up the wheel. However, I truly think that it was just a bad coincidence of events. You really have to see this spot to understand how it went down. It wasn't the snagging of my bar, so much as the sudden road thinning that I didn't know about(and the people around me for that matter). I normally don't hang around the back, but I had just dropped back after a pull and was talking to a teammate. It was also a really small pack so it is extremely easy to move around.

The other two accidents I was in, I really couldn't do anything about... the guy in front of me went down, had no chance to get out of the way, without taking out another four or five guys. the first crash, I was sitting second wheel, so it wasn't because of my placement in the pack. The last two, were in the back so there is soooo much truth to the "stay in the front and don't die" statement. I know it doesn't sound like it, but I actually have pretty good bike handling skills, it has just been some bad luck (i.e. riding with 4/5's) that has taken me out.

Thanks again, I appreciate it.
