There he goes! (the winning move):

See 'ya later boys!

While he rides away from the rest ... some diversions:

<photo removed by request>

OH YEAH! There's still a race going on ...

... and that's the checkered flag (better than the NASCAR race on TV!!).

See 'ya at the next one (when ever that will be ... ???)

Nice pics, man.

I'm in a bunch of the shots from the P/1/2/3 race. My team has two teams, per se, the guy who is in second in just about every picture there, a teammate from the "other" team (who also won the field sprint for 3rd) pretty much told me to stop chasing the guys who went off the front. Apparently he knows them and decided we were going to let them go up the road.

I think I can see myself as the second to last rider in the last picture. I got knocked off the road in about 15th wheel, and pulled the plug at 300m to go. Lame.

Oh, and your camera plus the lack of skin color makes us all look like fatties. Time to skip dinner tonight.

It was a very windy day. I did the 3/4 race. Apparently I wasn't paying enough attention to the lap cards, because at the finish, I thought we still had a lap to go. I think I finished ~25th or so, which is a shame, because a downind flat finish is my favorite of all the finishes.

It was a good tune-up for the Wisconsin cup, which is where my real ambitions lie.

Thanks for the pics.

Duke, did you take a look at the pics I posted in my crit report thread? I think I got you pretty well. At least it fit the description you gave.

Yep those are both me. I look super fat and slow. I need a tan, desperately.

A far cry from this, where I'm the guy nearest the photographer:

Who was that Mesa rider that one the P/1/2/3?

Mesa's from St. Louis. They had a bunch of riders at the Dogwood Classic down in Bradelyville, MO.

Adam Brandt. He's from WI. Knows some dudes on my team, so we let him go. Meaning I got the hell away from the front aside to chase random would be escapees from time to time, and one of the White brothers did some amazing blocking.

I think I lost track of all the yellow and black Madone 5.5's in there, wow that seems to be a popular bike.

I still want one though

He was fine ... lost some skin. There's pictures of him on one of those other links from the race web page.

They also added a link to this VIDEO of the last lap - 2's race.

I'm working on my video too (not as cool as that one, but I'll try).

Bah. The results show me out of the top 60. That ain't right. I didn't stay to protest though, because I was definitely out of the top 10 anyway.

Oh well.

for some reason the officials were having trouble with the results that day. Sounds like s few people had to get theirs sorted out. I think they were having a camera problem.

Hope you had a good race otherwise!!
