off-bike training

i'm working out of state for 2 weeks and i won't be able to ride during this time. i believe that the hotel they are putting me up in has a gym.

can anyone recommend an off-bike training regime? 2 weeks is a long time to be off the bike- especially as i am trying to get up to racing fitness (getting dropped last race tells me i'm not!). i've been running 5 miles a clip (3x a week) for some time now, and i've been doing other forms of weight training all winter so i'm no stranger to the gym.

Since you already run, I'd do a fair amount of running.

Do some short, intense work on a stationary bike in the gym, to keep your legs turning.

And see if you can rent a bike to ride on the weekend.

Find a hill and run 30 second hill repeats - sprint 30s up, walk down, repeat.

Do lunges until your ass locks up.

lunges, hill runs, and stationary bike. sounds good to me! since i'm in southern california, i might just be able to rent a bike for a day- but my schedule is so busy, it might not be cost effective.

thanks gents!
