USCF vs ABR
The race i'm looking to first race is an ABR event. Most races and most of you folks refer to your categories in reference to USCF. How does it work if/when you race between these two bodies? I'm guessing you need to get a license from both? When you race an ABR event does it go towards your USCF license?

They are separate organizations. It seems that some local organizations will let a few ABR upgrade points sneak in here and there, but it depends on the upgrade coordinator. You would need two licenses to race each organization.

Thanks. I'll probably just buy a one day license at this point then. For the year is only $25 but i don't expect to race in any other ABR races this year...

Good to hear.
Great race. A lot of spectators, lots of neighborhood parties going on. Nice course, too. Smooth and fast, yet challenging.
I'll be working in some capacity. I'm hoping for something involving sitting in the shade, but not race registration. Perhaps the prime-bell ringer.

Girlfriend surprised us with tickets. Nothing like baptism by fire and hungoverness.

Don't know what you are racing: ABR is pretty loose, but generally a 1-day is only good for the lowest catagory (i.e. Cat4 for ABR).

I did several races as a 3 on a one-day.
TimmyQuest, PM sent. Believe me when I say it's harder than it looks. The P/1/2 field almost always splits into several main groups, not including the inevitable break.
