Anyone know how I can delete my forum account? You'll be better without me of course, and I'll be better off because I can stop reading botto's thoughtless and provoking responses and all of the misinformation that gets given to people here lol.
He wants to vent, but he also gave us permission to flame him, and his post is flame-worthy, considering he is complaining about 40-something cat 4 and 5 racers, who, as a 3, he should not be racing in any case, so why bring it up relative to his desire to quit?

And come to think of it, he tells us he is quitting because he is better than everyone and can upgrade to a 2. Sorry, he deserves the flaming for the above reasons (although many people offered good advice about changing teams which seems to be the only worthy thing he vented about).

*EDIT* Oh, and where is the supporting evidence of the racing being unfair?

I have a crappy team with crappy leadership, a hell hole of an institution where hard work, experience, and a willingness to work for other teammates dosent get you anywhere. My coach is a dick who dosent care about you unless you're putting money in his pocket. I understand the coaching fee's I understand the team kits, but it is not a requirement to pay for coaching to ride for my team.

Screw him, Screw my crappy team mates who do nothing but throw money at the sport to get faster, and finally screw all of the people who stab you in the back when some new pretentious kid comes around.

I can tell all of you guys from experience, this sport has nothing to give you unless you have money. . 0001% will go pro, there is no reason to bother trying.

I'd also like to give anther big shout out to all of those 40 year old cat-4 riders riding the zipps and full carbon bikes, you guys suck way too much to be riding that stuff. Really, you take yourselves way too seriously, lighten the F**** up.

Just for the record, Im not just mad because I lost some race, I've actually been quite sucessful this year. I've won a few races despite my F*** tard team mates attempting to chase me down. I'm mad at my coach, my team mates, and frankly all of the local jerkoff 40 year old cat 4's and 5's who think they're seriously hot ****.

I'm washing my hands of this.

Flame me, dont flame me, debate the issue, I dont care. Thats how I feel, I just thought I'd tell the world. I would really love to name names, give specific details, but I feel that despite every way they've F**** me, that would not be fair.

Take heed, the racing is not fair in the state of Kansas.
I started racing off road when I was 14, but I had no support from anyone and it was extremely hard to get to a race and pay for it. I didn't even have the money for a kit, and rode a bike that was a few years old I bought second hand. (I still buy used bikes btw, much cheaper) A few of my pals joined me in this endeavor, and we had a hell of a time training and racing together. Coach? Ahahahaha. We didn't even know what the word meant, and even if we did, it wouldn't have mattered since we were broke kids. What's my point?

Understand the way the sport works, and appreciate what you have. There's jerks in every sport, and cycling seems to attract a lot of ego. Get used to it. At 17 and Cat 2, I'd say you've got some good talent. Quit the team if they aren't agreeing with you, and try something different. Don't quit because of something that stupid. Or stop racing for a while and keep riding. And like some others said, take some time off and go get some ass.

You guys are great. I was pissed at about a page and a half, but then it occurred to me, you dont matter. Nothing you say matters, nothing anyone else says matters, the only thing that matters to me is what I think of myself. You can say I cry, you can say I *****, but you cant take away my legs. I'm gonna take the rest of the week off, upgrade and then go destroy guys at a level that I bet most of you will never reach.

Thanks for the perspective.

And if you happen to be successful, I'll watch you suffering in the TDG on Versus, making 20k a year, as I sit in my nice house with my hot wife, with a glass of wine costing your daily salary and driving my Porsche to races.

And if you don't happen to be successful, I'll be the Cat IV with Zipps kicking your butt. I'm ok with either outcome.

Feel free to upgrade and bring the pain, boss. Catch a ride with Steve Tilford and the rest of his team to come race against me at SuperWeek, Downers or Elk Grove.

Here's my address. I can be reached between the hours of 5-8:30pm most days simply by showing up at my doorstep.

www.internationalcycling.com

Oh, and I've been riding bikes for 2.5 years now. And everything I've ever had, I've bought for myself on an $8-10/hr college job, or my post-college salary. I've never had a coach, and I've never, ever b!tched about my team not supporting me.

And yet, I'm still faster than you. Funny how that works.

Take some time off, get a job, and gain perspective. You're 17.
