It's definitely Summer time
102 degrees tonight on the Tuesday night 'race'. The only downside to Austin!
Time to get used to it, I guess!

They're predicting "hot and humid" in the mid 70's this weekend. Haven't seen 80 since perhaps September.

92° here at the Tuesday nighter. It made for very different races than we've had so far.

It was toasty...I was feeling ok until the pace picked up during the 2nd lap (what were
they thinking???) -- ouch and off the back just before the end of the first climb...finished
the 2nd lap solo (hopefully putting some money in the bank for Thursday night), but that
was it for me. Several people hung tough, raced well and finished -- well done!! Maybe
I was hallucinating, but, it appeared to me that the A-group did 4 laps.

I'm over in the big sand box right now and by 9AM it's 100 degrees with highs between 108 to 110. For now.

Yesterday was a high of 57, low of 42 degrees. Next few nights are supposed to be in the mid-40s. Where the hell is summer?? Oh, wait, I forgot. I don't like super hot weather. So 65-75 degrees is fine. But going out (not riding, just out) in a jacket midday in May is a bit unusual.
Of course after I post this it'll be 90 next week or something.

Yes, it was a warm Tuesday Nighter! I burned through some bottles on that one.
How'd it go? I think I saw you heading out.
I just stayed with the main pack, then lead out a teammate for the bunch sprint at then end (he got 2nd in the sprint).
I think I've found my niche: leadouts and 750m early "sprints." I seem to run out of gas for real sprints (nowhere near my 5s mmp), but my AWC is high enough that if I jump early, and commit, I can really mess some people up. Last night I eased into 700W for 25s, got us over 35mph, caught and dropped the solo breakaway, and really strung it out.
60 miles, 182 TSS. 2000kJ. Very fun, not too intense
