TT Hydration for 40K's.
Personally, I don't bring water for races less than about 15 miles; the aero tradeoff of sitting up to drink (not to mention the bottle) isn't worth it to me.
25 miles would be pushing it; especially now as temps are starting to go up.
That said, what's your hydration plan for 25 miles? Big drink before the race, and an aero bottle? Regular Bottle? Two behind the seat? Camelbak? Tow a trailer with a keg of beer? If that's the case, you should be warned that the officials may stop you as you negotiate the turnarounds.

I try to avoid it, even wth an aero bottle. Hydrate well days before, and the morning of, and just before you go off, and you should be fine. SHOULD is the operative word here, as this past sunday, with temps and humidity the way it was, I (in hindsight) should have had water as I needed my first drink around mile 4 (only 21 to go!!). I would say it is a matter of your history (have you gone without water in the past), your hydration status, and the wether conditions.

I do the same as DrWJO, hydrate well days leading up to, bottle on the way to the race and another while warming up/rolling to start.

Camelback Halfback. Makes a nice aero hump under a skinsuit. I wisely kept mine in good shape. They dont make them anymore. Fill it full of ice and a little water. Body heat melts the ice and creates cold water while the ice keeps the body cool. I bought one of these back in 1999 after reading in Velosnooze about Julich using one for TT's. It does work.

Always wondered if one couldn't rig up a small pint sized bladder in the tail section of an aero helmet. Just enough to give you a few swallows, without the weight killing your neck.
And no, I'm not smoking crack.
