So he can thump his chest about rides we'll never do, guys we'll never know and other things that no one else gives a crap about...

Future threads...

PCad eats a sammich
PCad gets a nap
PCad rides with some guy named Ray
PCad is constipated
PCad rides too many miles
PCad think that all other rides should be abolished and only the Nyack ride should remain
PCad can't sleep through the night without getting up to pee

Feel free to add to the list...

Before you protest you're too old to be a kid, since I hit 50, you're all friggin kids. And if you turn out to be older than me it's a pleasant surprise.

What conceivable reason would I ever have to moderate the idiots on BF? I keep hoping you'll all flame each other to death and all this will be mine some day.

Funny thing is, my family suggested a blog because I was talking to the houseplants too often.

I quit smoking at 21 yo after 8 years, no biggy, I drink slightly (love Stoli,) usually a few at my gigs, low cholesterol intake, don't ingest anything you know isn't good for you (I eat well, not a veggie) and keep other's well being ahead of myself. In a lot of cases, taking care of yourself first means making sure others around you do well after you leave the room.

Sounds weird, but it's the way I do it. I play drums with a fury, pack and setup my own gear, did 200 miles a week back in Seattle from '81 to '01 then moved to the flat country. Now I do around 200 a month.

DON'T do drugs. That's one of the down sides. I used to love to toke it down 20 years ago, but honestly, I'm a bit to old to be engaging in such now, and, who needs it. I got high (weed, used to have a serious coke problem, me and my nose) six months ago after 20 years of staying off of it. I couldn't help but think, "What the h**l was that all about? What was I thinking?" Just didn't get me off the launch pad like it used to.

Stay away from red meat. I love a med rare t-bone or sirloin, but it's bad for the inner tubing. Stay away from eggs. Egg Beaters (R) aren't so bad.

Anyway, all that stuff and a bunch more. But....................I'm not givin' up my Fosters. Never.

One last thing, I was homeless for 5 years, ten years ago, also. That was a tough one. Just made some really crumby decisions back then. Needless to say, these eyes got slapped open really fast through the whole thing.

Thanks for asking.

Oh, I'm so sorry.

I guess it's back to the same crap then? That's a lot easier than actually being nice to anyone. This is the web, right?

I'll just go over here to the corner and hide behind my keyboard.

There's nothing wrong with an occasional good steak, and if you're going to have a beer, you might as well have a good one. There's a reason why Foster's is the Aussie's #1 _export_ (even those hoodlums think it's trash!).

You're entitled to your opinion. (Notice the correct use of two spellings of a word which is pronounced identically. Rarely see in bike forums.)

Yeah, maybe some backwash Bud, or PBR or some koolaid. Actually, I'll stick with Guinness ES (tap, no bottles or cans,) or Tadcaster or even Theakston's where ever I can find it, but I can't find them down here in hick city, so I settle with ANYTHING other than domestic. Domestic sucks in all forms.

And as you said, a steak once in a while is no problem, but if you think red meat is healthy (tastes great) think again. My wife's a Doctor. I trust her degree more than my own compulsions and judgements.

Once again, a thread gets personal. Brought to you by,............??

In other words, this is pcad's turf. His 'lawn', if you will.

All you damned kids should get off of pcad's lawn, you damned kids.

that is all.

If you pay closer attention, you'll see that I don't generally deviate from the old crap. And in your case and mine, the emphasis would be on 'old'. In the meantime, lighten the F up.

Maybe you can build a time machine and warn those Paleolithic Nomads that the Mammoths they were hunting were bad for them! I'm pretty sure they doomed the human race with that noxious red meat.

Please enlighten me as to how a degree in medicine makes someone an expert in the field of nutrition, or exercise for that matter?
