Race Classes.....

Im being a newbie...but what do the classes mean...such as 2.HC, CDM, 1.HC, JO, 1.3, 1.2, 2.3......and so on....

Please, someone explain...

CDM...World Cup
JO ...Olympic Games
CN ...National Championships
CM ...World Championships
GT ...Grand Tour
2 refers to a Stage Race
1 refers to a One Day Race

The HC or numbers that follow refer to the assumed difficulty and points on offer, with HC being the highest, .1 the second highest, etc.

There are a few other special designations that can be viewed at or at the end of the 2004 road calendar at
