Piedmont Triad Omium, Who's In?

https://thepiedmonttriadomnium.com/up..._-_6-18-08.pdf

Wanders? Sub? Snuff? Anybody?

The road race (only part I'm doing) will be my 1st race ever. I'm choosing it because it really mimics the fast group rides I've been doing this year. Just wondering if any bfer's will be there.

Yup, I'll be there. Still looking to bum a couch/bed/floor in the area.
Will be my last few races as a 5, I'll be doing all 3.

I was in for all 3 but the wife just got through berating me over the neglected yard work, time not spent with her and my daughter, and general obsession with biking. I'm now down to the road race. If I spend this weekend in the yard and entertaining the family, I'm pretty sure I can a least add the crit on Friday.

If I really make a nuisance of myself, I might be able to do all 3 again.

It looks more interesting now that the crit is a 4-corner and not an 8-corner with a loop-the-loop and a death spiral.

Does the crit have right or left hand turns?

No idea. Is that part of your selection criteria?

I just rode 2 laps on the RR course. I'm doomed.

I don't think Escher could conceive a more uphill circuit.

No, I prefer right-hand turns, though.

Yeah, I keep hearing from people that it's a bear. The uphill stuff might work to my advantage as I get worn out on constant fast flats.

Hey Wanders, do you know any of the veloproject guys? Also, have you ever ridden the Tuesday night Farmer's Market ride from Sandy Ridge Rd? That's my regular Tuesday nighter.

I know most of the veloproject guys. I am sort of affiliated, second string waterboy, if you will. My kit is on order.

Tuesday is either Dixie or commuting but I've passed you guys headed down Horneytown road several times on my commute home.

That's cool. I ride w/ Jim Caragol, Mike, & Stacy Brown pretty much every Tue & Thurs. I'm thinking about joining them as well.

I've ridden with Jim and Mike several times. There is a Sunday ride that leaves at 2:00 from the YMCA in HP. You could come harass some old guys. I've been trying to get milchad to come do it.

I'd love to, but alas no racing until Septemberish.

Good luck!

those two hills on the road race weren't that bad - no attacks were able to stay off during the cat 4 race (despite all of us NCSU riders attempting to). crossroads is gonna be a disaster for me - currently off a bike for wisdom teeth surgery.

Those were not hills, more like speedbumps.
