Dick.

Yeah, he can climb.

Wait are you calling me a dick?

The only reason I said never mind is his attack was very short lived, I know the guy can climb though and it was an impressive acceleration. Just shortl lived.

Its pretty cool that you raced against him.

as it turns out zabriskie didn't finish...neither did contador!

Wow, I feel bad for Andy who rode an amazing race. Went at just the right time, blew the field apart and had himself in a breakaway that was close enough to the end that he was guaranteed at least a bronze (only him and two others).

But holy crap! Cancellara is a locomotive!! That guy singlehandedly pulled them back, dragging with him the two guys dropped from Schleck's group. He cut a 15 second deficit in no time flat! And he had NO TEAMMATES the entire race! I wish Fabian could have gotten gold, he deserves it.

NBC's website for my local listings says cycling is supposed to be on right now, but its women's volleyball? I'm not against women in tight clothing at all, but I want to see men in tight clothing on bikes!

Or do I? Now I'm just confused.

Ditto... I wanted to see the sprint at the end. :(

It's showing about 5 different events. After about 2 hours, you'll get 10 minutes of cycling (the start of the race), no joke. Then about 1.5 hours later I think you get another 10 minutes or so.

here.

Watch the whole thing if you like. (Though I'd just watch the last 20 minutes).

2:15pm EDT and they're back on, but just getting to the finishing circuits. There'll be another segment later for the actual finish.

My dog got me out of bed at 4 am to go out so I watched the road race to the finish on the nbc webcast. Canellara's move was worth waking up to see. I wasn't so mad at the dog after that.

man, i'll bet they're partying in the winner's capital city tonight!

Sorry. Not calling you a Dick. Askari (as well as theother Iranian on their team at the time) was a dick.

wabbit 08-09-08 06:57 PM

well they showed it live here but not the entire thing from beginining to end...they went to other events and then came back to the road race.

I got to see the finale later in the day when it re-aired.

The women's race is tomorrow. And guys- some of those women...are SWEDISH.

Sounds like Z did his domestique job in the road race, and now his job is to get ready to try to contend for gold in the TT.
