Swapping brake cables
 

Anyone here swap their brake cables?

My paws can't seem to get with the program about which hand should be running the front brake. After three years of cycling still no dice. Probably a result of riding motorcycles for seven years.

Problem is, the pattern is set for right-handed cassette shifting and left-handed chain rings. Based on that I don't want to just swap the shifters, just the brake cables.

Any problems with this idea before I proceed to try it?

Figure I'd wait till after the last races of the season before I try it.

Yup, I always run right-front.

It was good enough for Shadon Brown, it should work for you. Only reason I don't do it is becasue I'm ambidexterous anyways...

I used to do it, but then switched because of the way I shift-brake into turns. I downshift and brake when going into a turn and couldn't do both with one hand.

I thought about swapping them when I first started riding... but then I made the mental connection that the right side controls both rear functions and the left side controls both front functions and then all was set right with the space time continuum.
