Arizona Hill Climb

Anybody go? I missed it and wondered about the results. Mt. Graham is tough.

I did not go - This is one of the climbs I have not ever had a chance to do but would really love to.

I was down in Tucson for Mt Lemmon and did pretty well. I am in AZ haphazardly a few times throughout the year so its sheer luck when I get to do a fun race, but I have been pretty lucky.

I did it. The Mexican national team showed up and kicked everyone's butts. I stuck with them for about 5 miles, then they launched an early attack and the rest of them proceeded to block/not do any work for the rest of the race. I dropped back after 10 miles because I couldnt take it and ended up finishing with a pretty good time. First time doing it too.

I live a couple of miles from the start. I kept seeing all of these cars with bikes on them and realized (too late) that the race was yesterday. I'm not good enough to race in it, BTW, I just wanted to see the start. I ride as far up as I can in an hour several times a month. It is a hoot to come back down.

Not sure if it's comparable. For the last few years the course has been 16 miles. This year it was 20. Official results aren't up yet but when they are you can compare average speeds and see.

Most excellent climb. I did it a few years ago and got snowed on.
