My plan is to follow slim_77 and launch a teammate to beat slim's at the line.

Relatively flat 85k road race next month. Stay in the top 1/4 of the field. 3rd with 200m to go. Hands up just after the finish line.

My first race is upcoming on March 7. This will be my first race in 16 years! I'm 40 now and I last raced prior to going to graduate school. My plan is to hang on for dear life and not get spit out the back. If I accomplish that, I will be quite satisfied.

We're supposed to get 5"-10" of snow by morning...First race around here is in late April. So I haven't much thought about it.
Glad I had a good ride today, as it may be awhile before the snow melts.

My plan is to not lead out the final sprint, as I have in my first two races this year... first two races ever for that matter.

Son of a *****, I just looked at the start times and I start at 8:58:30. They are going all the way till 11:42 and are launching riders based on when they registered. Not only that but it will most likely be raining.

So, for most of us our first race(s) is(are) right around the corner and that leads to countless work hours dedicated to thinking about what we're gonna do.
This is my first opportunity to work with a teammate and I'm really excited about it. Because we don't have experience working for teammates, he and I are going to 1) mark each other near the front ; 2) control the pace for a few laps in last 1/3 of race; 3) spill guts in the last two to help him get on the podium. simple.
What's your plan?

Well you should at least get stronger throughout the season I suspect.
And I can't wait to read those long, drawn out race reports of yours.

Yeah, I'll be in the 4/5 and the 3/4 race at blackhawk. There are a few earlier crits in Kenosha...but that depends on the weather. I just found out our team is co sponsoring the Super Crit. So, I'll be standing around with a flag, too.

The prospect of Snake Alley scares the **** out of me. It's always a crash fest, and the field blows up pretty quick so it gets to be a bit of a cluster with all the lapped riders and chaos.

Planning on getting out and stretching the legs, sizing up this year's field, seeing how I feel and hoping to finish well without vomiting on anyone.
