Now I remember where and why I first heard of tim-tim. Would you mind going back to foo or p&r or your photography forums or whatever?
I know less about politics than i do about the photography industry. Ed is selling himself short. Graham Watson appears to have a contract. These are facts. Do with them whatever the hell you want. Somehow facts make me an ******* .

Ed knows what he's doing, and is content to do just that.

I know. And i'm fine with that too. So i'm not sure what all the hostility is for. It's also why i'm not sure why "fanboys" need to chime in on his behalf.

Timmy, you have a history here. A long history. Perhaps not as storied as "euro" and not quite as infamous as "DuraAce" but nonetheless, every single time you post, you get absolutely torn down for it.

Have you ever asked yourself why? Do you suspect that we are all crazy and you are the only sane one (as many insane people believe)? Do you think we have it out for you (as a paranoid person would believe)? Or do you just think that we all must be sheep, following the herd and that you are the only enlightened one among us (as cocky/stupid people believe)? Or perhaps you are just oblivious to the fact that this always seems to happen with you (as a person in need of serious introspection)?

Regardless, I think you should consider a) an attitude change, b) thinking before you post, c) both.

Just my opinion.

A.) Yes.
B.) Yes.
C.) Yes.

If you don't want to be thought of a jackass, don't ever act like one. I have here in the past, primarily about racing related things which i admittedly don't know much about. I know about photography. I know about event photography. I know what happens when you give away high res images on the internet (which apparently isn't being done here).

If Ed's photographs sucked i likely wouldn't have said anything. But his images are good, so when he told us about the $13,000+ in gear that he owns, showed us sale-worthy photographs, and stated--i thought--that he has making available high resolution files and prints--all for free...i asked a simple question.

I don't have a beef with Ed, yet because of the way i talked with some people who really truly don't know what the **** they are talking about, Ed seems to have developed a beef with me.

Example:

Or hey, maybe it's because he loves cycling, loves cycling fans, and doesn't care about turning a profit off his passion?

This is all very silly. Ed can do whatever the **** he wants.

I've met a handful of BF members, i don't think any of them think i'm as big of an ******* as some of you seem to think. Maybe i'm wrong.

That said, I like how I'm treated in the race forum. It's more motivation.

I was wondering why he doesn't sell them too, but I don't care since it's his potential loss, not ours. I run a website that sells crap on the net and if one of my many competitors starts giving away the exact same products for free, then so be it. I would think it's hilarious.

I'm in favor of whatever course of action leads to more of these amazing photos being taken.

let me go over this for you since you seem to be listening to the ****** who hijacked my thread......

if you order one of my prints from zenfolio it will cost you. the only charge you won't pay is my cut, which is maybe $10 or $15 for, say an 11 x 14" print....actually i set the price wherever i want. but you would still pay probably around $20 for that print by the time you got it even without my surcharge.

to date, not one cycling print has been ordered.

obviously if the prints were selling like hotcakes i would make sure i profit from them and i would charge as much as i thought i could get away with to maximize profits, but i would probably discount prints for longstanding BF members.

to date, i haven't made a dime but i also have not been able to "give away" a single cycling print...i.e., the demand isn't there so wouldn't i look like an idiot trying to sell something i can't give away .

another thing, one BFer in appreciation of my efforts and probably an animal lover has donated to my wife's cause --- she's doing an ironman this year and raising money for the humane society. i think that's pretty great. i don't even know the guy. he didn't post about it. or e-mail me about it. he just QUIETLY did it.

and he's not whining about money i may be losing or the impact i may be having on professional cycling photographers .... which is really quite ridiculous when you think about it.

if anyone feels bad about me not making money on prints i can't even give away please feel free to donate to a good cause.....it would make my wife happy .

$25 for a 11x14? Try $7.
the price was a guess. i buy my prints direct from mpix or adorama. i don't know what zenfolio charges, nor do i care.

of course zenfolio makes money off of prints. that's the nature of being in business, something i've done successfully for 15 years. i don't host my photos on zenfolio as a commercial endeavor .... but then again i don't think you understand that yet.

the reason i tell people to buy them from zenfolio because unless i really know you i don't want you to e-mail me asking for prints...and i get enough of that to be a nuisance.

but the real nuisance has been you who hijacked my thread and i guess i am sort of an idiot for even trying to explain my motivation to you because i really don't care what you think. you haven't said one thing that i didn't already know or that i have found of any value.

i got to read your other post before you deleted it so i know what type of guy you really are. or should i say kid. now i'm really done with you. i will put you on ignore now because you have nothing of value to say, and if you were at least funny i might reconsider but you aren't even good for a laugh.

later timmy......

I deleted the post because i realized you were mistaken about the service...there use to be company's out there that would take profits from photographers who put there photographs on their page and give a pathetic return to the artist (like...2%). Zenfolio doesn't seem to be one of them. So, that's the type of guy i am

I reread my post, and I came off like an ******* too. My intention was to berate the other guy and it was poorly worded. What you should do is take action shots of loser cyclists like me and make us look like pros. You would have a solid gold house in no time.

Are you pressuring Ed into the voyeur upskirt photo niche?
