I'll be there in the 4's.

2 Teammates in the 5's.

Unless the weather is awful or something. I want to get my feet wet before going south to train.

Amen to that, I am very wary about using my real good equipment for racing this year, I think I may just save it for fun riding and race on the lower end stuff-until I have permanent work and the money to replace my new frame and wheels if I happen to wreck them.
I always do Bethel on my rain bike, it is my CX bike that I am currently running with one ring up front, but I'll be adding the second for Sunday.

Masters and 3/4. Two races in a row should be fun. I'm probably going to help with the sweeping on Saturday if Aki needs the help. There is a LOT of sand on the course right now.

Wish I was, but alas I'll be here in Boston doing a 10k computrainer TT. Great prizes actually and a nice way to hopefully set a new CP15... but compared to a real race, seems kinda lame...

Wells ave the 15th though!!

Good luck guys, Aki.

It's a fairly easy course as far as the technical aspects go. There is one 90 degree corner, and that's at the slowest part of the course, after everyone has slowed down on the hill. Watch for people sitting up and stopping their "sprint" about halfway up the hill--that's always good for laughs. It's going to be cold, and the "Bethel Breeze" is constant, so be ready for wicked cold headwinds on the back of the course. I can't give you too many strategy tips, though, because I spent Saturday helping to teach the Cat 5s on my team a little about racing, and I wouldn't want to give away any secrets!

Thinking about it...either there or La Primavera at Lago Vista or working....I'd have a 2+ hour drive, which means hitting the road in the 5am-ish range Sunday morning (assuming no weather issues)...and, I need to set up the old Trek 1400 with DT shifters (not gonna race with the MB-3 and knobbies)...anyone wanna loan me something with a 530 +/- top tube and give me a place to sleep Saturday night? I'll buy dinner Sat. night (Pepe's or wherever?...oh, I miss Pepe's so much) and breakfast after the race, and I'd ride off the front to protect the bike :-)

I plan on racing at Wells Ave on March 22nd :-)

Everytime I watch CDR's helmet cam videos, my heart races up to about 80% max.

I'll do one or two this year... I'm considering taking a season off from racing. Have fun Sunday.

I might come to Bethel on the 8th, but I am doing the same indoor time trial as ldes on the 1st. It is a long drive so it is definitely a maybe for the 8th.

Ride down 53 to Newtown turnpike. Turn left and take it all the way to 58 (Black Rock turnpike). You can either turn left on 58 and ride back into Bethel (just under an hour total) or head down Hopewell to Poverty Hollow and take that north to 302. Turn left on 302 and ride to downtown Bethel (hour and twenty?). I haven't uploaded today's ride yet from my Garmin or I'd post the map.

I really want to do the 3/4 race too, but I don't really want to make my teamates wait around for a few hours between races. I wish the two races were closer together in time and such.
