Long road race.... Whos in?
The weather looks great for my 11:00 AM start time!
*snippet from the National Weather Service*
THIS WILL PRODUCE SOME WINTRY PRECIP FOR MUCH OF THE MIDSOUTH ON
SATURDAY. MODELS ARE IN EXCELLENT AGREEMENT AND FORECAST SOUNDINGS
SHOW RAIN TRANSITIONING TO SNOW AROUND NOON. THE TRACK OF THE
CLOSED UPPER LOW HANDLED BY THE GFS...NAM AND ECMWF WILL BE WELL
WEST AND SOUTH OF THE FORECAST AREA. THIS PUTS THE MIDSOUTH IN A
PRIME AREA FOR SNOWFALL. AT THIS TIME...BEST GUESS WOULD BE UP TO
TWO INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ACROSS PARTS OF THE FORECAST
AREA. THIS HINGES ON THE EXACT TRACK OF THE UPPER LOW...SO
SOMETHING TO WATCH IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
Should I HTFU and race or wuss out?

Last year it sleeted at one of the road races. I got there in time to pin my number on and get to the starting line. Then the sleet came. Fun times.

I wussed out
Started sleeting hard while I was loading up the bikes to leave (was a local race). Figured since the race was 30 miles west of my house it would have been really bad there....
They didnt get any sleet until the race was finished
Oh well... I ended up with around an inch of sleet and 11 inches of snow. Not bad for Memphis
