Something that jumped out at me was the large gaps between the riders this year. 34secs between the top ten finishers. That's alot.

And Popovych picked up almost 30 secs on Garzelli and Noe. That could make a difference.

I was suprised with Cipo's performance. He finished higher than Simoni. I guess he really is on good form.

Maybe Popovych will catch some luck early on, on stage 3, with the way he looks.
