Lots of "rest" for the GC contenders?

Tomorrow's finish is going to separate the standings much, much more.
yep.

3 man break.

Martin tried to get away. Voekcler would latch on, Roy would look like he was about to pop, but clawed his was back on.

Martin tried again. Voekcler would latch on, Roy would look like he was about to pop, but clawed his was back on.

Roy - clearly the weakest of the three - attacked the two. They looked at each other. Voeckler was clearly expecting Martin to do the work, he wouldn't.

Finally they worked together, but Roy held them off.

wow, that from AC attack was unreal... even the good climbers (Schleck, Sanchez, et al) couldn't stay with him for more than a minute.

How in the hell does a guy have so much better a Watts/Kg ratio as to put a full minute on the next closest guys in that little time? It boggles the mind.

It's getting hard to imagine that anyone will be able to beat Contador in July, the guy is insanely dominant. I'd love to have seen Chavanel keep the yellow jersey, but not even close. Damn.

Yes, it is curious...Greg Lemond was wondering much the same thing about young Alberto.

Greg Lemond wonders the same thing about anyone who has ever had a great performance, whose name is not Greg Lemond.

I'm sure Lemond soloed to a few himself back in the day. I'm officially calling Lemond out as a doper. No way he could have done that without drugs.

I didn't mean to imply he was a doper. I'm just hoping one of our power meter enthusiasts will to a little calculation. Do we know the necessary data to figure it out numerically?

When you look at the power profiles from Contador and Rasmussen's Tour battles they were ridiculous. I'm not saying that Greg was a saint but the power these guys are making for the duration they are making it are, as our good friend Simoni would say, "Supernatural". If you really believe Contador or any of the top guys are doing this on "water" then I hope Santa was good to you this past Christmas.

I remember how this forum was all a twitter about Rico and what a great climber he was blah blah blah.

Neither of them had SRMs, Ergomos, PowerTaps or Quarqs on their bikes. So, where are these power files coming from?

Also, I believe that plenty of people called Ricco out after he flew the coop, and rightly so, it turns out.
