Beautiful stage today. Another classic Italian finish up a hill through narrow streets in town.
Scarponi with the double (stage and overall). Basso rode like a chump the last 3k. Don't think he has a tactical clue how to win a single-day race.

Nice save by that Euskadel guy... little off roading action on that last big decent

kloden's gotta hope that Scarponi put himself out there too much today and reel him in tomorrow... over a min is a long time with only a few hills then a like 80k of flat to the end

There's no way Klöden closes 40 seconds on tomorrow's stage. 84km is called "winding up for the pack sprint." Even Garzelli's 20 seconds is virtually insurmountable.

Stranger things have happened, I suppose, but I'd say the podium is a lock.

It'll be interesting to watch tomorrows fight for the points jersey though. That's at least close.

Farrar never stood a chance today. At least he had the right wheel.

Another good battle from the helicopter shots. Italian bunch sprints require nerves of steel.

Damn truth.

You've prob raced more than my 2 U-23 races in Italy (and maybe made it to the sprint for 1st), but I can say I have lost all fear in field sprints in the US since I raced over there.
