I got the cover for my ptap from saris. Soon I will be training with power again.
At one point someone posted photos of the positioning of the electronics under the black protective cap. If this was you, can you post them again? I'll have to do a massive search through the forums because I'm going to have to dremel the current cap off.

I'm an Oreo Purist. Mini, double-stuff, mint, golden. Feh to all of them. I just want the original. And I don't break them apart. They go in the mouth whole so that you experience the perfect balance of chocolate and cream, black and white, yin and yang.

Uh-oh.
They say there are actually elite master's racers are in this bunch. What a slap in the face to all the clean hard working masters competitors, some of whom frequent this thread. I know how hard some of you guys train, I believe most in the amateurs are clean, and it sucks that they have to compete with dopers. Particularly on the amateur side of this sport. It's easier for me to wrap my head around on the pro sports side. But for guys with jobs and families who don't do this for money, well, cheating on that level is just the pits of humanity. I fully understand gsteinb's anger about this topic on that score.

Me: What?
He: Do you have a bump?
Me: A bump?
He: Yes.
Me: I don't know what that is.

Me: Oh, you mean a pump. No, I don't have one.

anyone here get (semi) regular massages?
I've got lots of tight muscles in various places that self massage hasn't taken care of. I'm open to any suggestions. Mainly they're the muscles in my back along the spine, my lower back, the back of my knee where the hamstring/calve come together, and then my traps.
Stretching doesn't seem to be enough, I think some sort of pressure is required, but I'm not sure how to do it other than massage.

While climbing yesterday, I pass a guy with his bike upside down in the shade, working away on his tire and tube. As I pass he asked me in what sounded like a German accent, "Do you have a bump?"
Me: What?
He: Do you have a bump?
Me: A bump?
He: Yes.
Me: I don't know what that is.

When I was about 4 I attended a day care that had a small petting zoo on premises. One of my earliest memories is being chased around the playground by a pissed off goose. It got a few good bites in before the teachers broke it up. Scary sh*t when those things are as big as you!
p.s. If you like black widows feel free to visit my house in the spring. Apparently word got around in the spider community that my house was a safe haven when we moved in 5 years ago. 4 years of spraying every spring and they still haven't got the message.

Yesterday I joined a fellow BFer on his training ride for the Everest Challenge in 2 weeks. It was day two of climbing for him, with only 8K planned. Day 1 had close to 15K of climbing. I ended up completing 2/3 of his planned 8K, and the reason why I declined the remaining K's was because of his choice of route, which is one of the steepest (15 to 20% for a mile and a half) around. Midway up a fairly steep climb which ended at the point where we would part ways, he tried to hoodwink me with blatant lies like, "It won't be so bad... just a little bit more steeper than this." An oxygen depleted part of me almost went for it, but I snapped out of that, responding sharply by emphasizing my answer with synchronized front wheel bunny hopping to the words, "Don't lie to me!"

When I was growing up, I had one of these guys. One year, we had a bit of a spider problem...and it just so happened, the lizard escaped. I thought I'd never see him again, but a week later, he showed up, sunning himself on the back of the couch, looking fatter than ever. The spiders haven't been heard from since.
Don't see why the hippies and whole food loving groupies don't jump on the 'natural way' of pest control.

I'd drill two holes and jam a screwdriver through to torque it off.

This is especially true if you're talking about 2 or 3 at a time. Perfect.

Ben was in agony along a few sections, but he still went ahead with the Las Flores ending climb. You taught him well.
