Maybe that's why I'm too fat for this sport.

Great, thanks a lot guys. Now I have to go to the liquor store.

Come to the hipp ride tonight. It's better than booze. Or you'll find yourself doing shots at midnight in an effort to get to sleep. ;)

Ha, I wish. I've got some uncles coming into town tonight. Looks like it's shots for me. Tuesday though... I'm shooting for Tuesday.

Tuesdays have been fun. Gary Yates, Shawn Gravois, myself, and one or two other people put on a show on Short Wacahoota this past Tuesday. Good times, good times.

Tap, Bottled, Sparkling or Distilled? Could you twitter when every time you have a drink of water?

Next thing you are going to tell me you win your races with water and bread.

If you twitter a lot, does it make you a twit?

gsteinb 03-27-09 12:05 PM

I think a tw*t...past tense.

If I win it's on oatmeal and water.

gsteinb 03-28-09 07:31 AM

I was born in Maine. There was a Dunkin Donuts near Bangor where I grew up. Passing that place early in the morning was one of the best pick me ups. The coffee and donut smell was wonderful. On the occasion that we had a little money (which was rare) my parent would stop in for a cup and and a donut.

When I moved to NC all we had were Krispy Kremes. Not. As. Good. Nothing beats a fresh cake donut (or doughnut). To me the KKs were just little puffs of glazed air. There was no substance to them. I missed my Dunkin Donuts.

It wasn't until we went to Myrtle Beach a few years later that I could get one. And when we were out of town for a speed skating event, my grandfather would find a motel near one so we could all, once again, taste of those wonderful rings of joy.

Almost 20 years later, we now have a Dunkin Donuts in my home town. And ironically I don't eat them because at 39 y.o. and being competitive, I need to keep the empty calories at bay. Every once and a while I will take the family to get a few. My wife has fallen in love with the chocolate glazed and my daughters love them too. I've switched these southern belles from KK to DD. It took some time - many visits to the place without them really wanting to. But my work on this planet is done.
