Don't be so hard on yourself. I've ridden behind you and you're no box van. Minivan at worst. If a minivan was really skinny.

Thing is I think it's more a nerve/tendon tweak that's exacerbated by tight muscles, I've found this stuff kind of goes into this downward self-fulfilling cycle. I'm actually going to try a heat/roller/stretch thing to see if I can get stuff loose.

Then throw it on youtube and set it to music, add the HR / Watts / Speed overlay and you'd have the ultimate Cat III race parody video.

Absolutely amazing. The weather for the first few days was terrible. Then we spent some time in the rural mountains of Jamaica. It was awesome actually livIng with jamaicans and experiencing their culture. Then the last 5 days or so were spent not the beach in negril where we did all the touristy stuff (lounge on the beach, go cliff jumping, see the sunset on a boat in the ocean, go snorkeling). Just a great time.

What is it with you and cleats? As for motivation, don't forget, that bike mount in the wind tunnel has resistance and I'll set that thing that thing so your doing 500 watts for 5 minutes during the yaw sweep.

Just finished "We Were Soldiers". Good movie. Kinda cliche and predictable and semi-preachy, but the preachy moved through the movie to change form, which was interesting. Overall a good movie, and moving.

I had a little fun out at Palomar today. So how or another I'd never climbed Nate Harrison Grade before. It's a dirt road that leads from Pauma Valley up to the ridge above the top of South Grade Rd (the road that the Tour of California climbed). The road climbs 4300ft in less than 10 miles. Normally I don't take pictures while I'm riding, but today I felt like it for some reason.

Looking down to the orange groves at the start.

About 3 miles in there were some ~10% sections.

Near the top the ground was completely frozen. The last mile was rough pavement.

There was a 400 meter section that wasn't ridable.

Looking down on South Grade Rd. It's one of my favorite descents.

Total ride time for the day, 5:15. Between the dirt and the grade, the climb averaged 6.5mph.
