I have the Magic Shine and continue to use them without incident though I'm more vigilant when charging the battery.

This. I put mine in a container that's not flammable and can be covered. Also, I only charge it when I can watch it.

Same here. Unplug when the charger light changes to green.

I always have to be careful how I word a gift like that. "Oh, so now I can cook for you on fancy counters?"

Congrats though -- they make a kitchen look awesome.

something seinfeldian about this.

when I made this for my mom, she was thrilled. of course, she loves cooking. I also designed the height to match hers perfectly. The regular counter height is wrong for chopping.

I only did an hour, but damn it was nice to be on something besides openpro's and armadillos for a change. However, it's windy. Really really windy, tomorrow's going to be one for keeping people in the gutter.

Twinkies. Lots of them. Eat nothing but twinkies. It worked for some professor somewhere.

But, I hear that the guys in Texas all dope on oreo's and it supposedly makes them faster..

And guys, with all of these comments about magic shine, I feel the need to point out that the sun is setting later. We're almost to summer!!

(summer starts on March 1st around these parts... Hell starts May 1st).

Two weeks since I placed my order with PBK for a set of fenders. I really thought they would be here by now.

Yeah, if you knew my wife though you'd understand. One of her passions is cooking. She loves to do it and is excellent at it. One year for Christmas she insisted on getting some All Clad pans. Who am I to argue?

I placed an order a week before thanksgiving, it arrived the day before Christmas. Just be patient, they won't help you track it down until 30 business days have passed anyway, and I guess customs has been slow, or something.

We just inherited a Boos Butcher block from her Grandfather last week. It looks a lot like yours, just a lil darker.

Hey WR, how's your teammate doing? You know, the guy who we're all dead to these days? Please send him my regards, and tell him I hope he's doing well.

Musician and artisan. Renaissance man. Or a samurai, if you were on the other side of the world.

I like the custom height bit. A former team sponsor (a designer) built himself a house where everything was just enormous. Counters were tall, doors immense. He's a big guy, 6'6"? and was sick of all the "reg'lar folks' stuff". His wife was tall too. Even so they had a rolly-ladder (like a library would have) for the kitchen. He loved the whole cycling thing. He was better known for designing basketball team kits and Indycar stuff. Our Cat 3 team wasn't a bit hit compared to his other projects, but at least we had argyle like 15 years ago!

Just went to the LBS to get a spoke for the mtb, he has an extra large Ridley Excalibur hanging on the wall and he'd really like to get rid of it. He's going to build it up so I can test ride it...
