Really liked District 9...in other news I Jens'd up and rode outside...3 hours of low tempo with 1 min all out efforts every 10 min. I had on a Craft ProZero LS base layer, LS Jersey, Craft Med weight Jacket, knee warmers bib tights, bib shorts, Craft ProZero windstopper beanie, a fleece cycling hat, wool socks, DeFeet Slipstreem shoe covers and Craft neopreme shoe covers, Craft windstopper gloves with Craft lobster claws over those...I lost contact with my feet about an hour into it, my nose about 10 min into it, my hands were fine though.

Has coddling tendencies.
In other DVD news, Friday night I also watched It Might Get Loud, the documentary featuring Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White talking about guitars. I enjoyed it immensely. LZ has been on my car CD player since then.

of that, blah blah blah. i'm with you; thought it was well worth the time & money spent
in the theater and i'll likely buy the dvd. could watch jimmy page play guitar for hours.
it takes talent (and practice) to make it seem effortless like he does. the edge & jack white
were both interesting as well-different styles but very informative and talented in their
own ways. would not mind a continuation of the concept but with different instruments
and comparably talented musicians. saxophones, drums, trumpets, bass (upright or electric)
-even vocals!

We seem to have a new Jens Factor champion in the house. We found him abandoned on the side of the road last night beside a box with some hay in it. It was in the low teens wind chill factor wise and he had frost build up in his fur.
The plan was to take him to a shelter today. Not gonna happen.

That dang John Patterson put me in the red then attacked me. He got away. Then all the Pfeiffer cyclists tried to attack. I let them play for a bit, then drove them into the ground. But that JP is a machine. I guess being a pro really helps.

I'm beat. Having first dinner. Second dinner in an hour or so at the dining hall.
4 1/2 hours in the cold today. Off tomorrow, and then starting intensity a week early. I'm getting tired of all this slow riding in the cold. My first race is in 2 weeks. Jeez.

My 63 mi ride today had 3700 ft of climbing... rollers pretty much non-stop. I'm curious how this compares to your rides, since I never have the option to ride mountains or anything remotely similar.

Our rollers count for about 40-60% of "real" climbing elevation, depending if you're doing them in a pack or solo, and how they are spaced out. They are also a lot more anaerobic than real climbs.
