There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here, or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long gone and this old man is all that's left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It's just a bull**** word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a ****.
One my favorites as well.

Wow, a local squad with big goals: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/team...es-2010-roster

Lots of THSJ kits in town, for sure. These were the guys that were ripping my legs off in those P12 crits that made me want to downgrade :twitchy:

Duh. How about Best Picture EVER Oscar.

Hey Grumpy, get over to Foo and wish Wolfie a Happy Birthday.

Didn't Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side look a bit like a younger Kathie Lee Gifford?

It's probably partying up with some Pedros and nifty Hybrid with a nice basket.

EDIT: My budget knee saving base building SRAM 1070 12-27 cassette came today. If I could only find my metric hex socket set for the mini torque wrench I could be done witht the 2010 Velo Cheapo build.

I sense a trip to Sears tomorrow.

Gotta order a few bits for mine...

*signature removed for botto's sake since he clearly has issues with it...

What's up with that?

Haven't kept up this week because I've actually had work to do. The guy I split work with is taking some time off because his brother in law's heart failed at age 35. Never met the guy, but I saw him a week before and he looked old.

Oh, yeah. And "How Green Was My Valley" is SO much better than "Citizen Kane".

You never saw the editors cut.

How about "The Pianist" winning over "Slingblade"? Loved them both.

Should be "Shine", not "The Pianist".

It's funny, in a very sad way, to see a news article about the young girl in "slumdog" and how her "hovel" has once again fallen down, etc. leaving her homeless. Apparently Bollywood does not pay its' actors very well.

People who play guitar poorly should practice quietly.

But but but turning up the amps is so much fun!

Back when men were men. And tires were skinny.

waterrockets 02-03-10 12:45 AM

Crazy. Are those dog tracks?

KiddSisko 02-03-10 12:55 AM

Just finished watching online the latest episode of 24. That show is like a soap opera with guns.

Rx, is that the same gary fisher as the mtb gary fisher?

Pics are filtered here at work, but I can go out on a limb here and say yes. In fact, the Lemond line was replaced by Fisher road bikes in Trek stores.

Different Gary Fisher I think, though from the same era.

They are racing on mostly horse tracks, and some track purpose built for motorcycles. Also rodeo rings; they used to do a short track indoors at the Cow Palace in SF. Two stroke motors burning bean oil (Blendzall and Castrol R). Smokier than the Aerosmith concert there I went to a few years later.

F' baseball and the other sports. These guys were my heroes growing up. I even got to race against a few of them later on, though not many; not exactly a sport that provided longevity. I ended up with a bike that was raced by two-time Number One Plate holder Steve Eklund, also killed in a race; his tuner also built my stuff for a while.

See what I get for assuming it was a pic of bicycle, lol.

another relatively sucky movie year. last year (2008) was weak and this year
is no better. seems a shame when some years have multiple candidates
(and deservedly so) for best picture. forcing a b+ picture into a/a+ picture
frame is ridiculous. i'd rather see the academy pass on awarding that
particular category.

ridethecliche 02-03-10 02:07 AM

Woah, cool. I've always loved go karts and motorcycles. I wish I could have tried my hand at it at some point, but given my current list of injuries, I probably would have died a long time ago...

In other news, I think I got a (another) potential job offer. It's not *really* what I was looking for, but it's more health oriented than teaching and I would definitely be working for/with some important people in public health, especially in HIV/AIDS (my interest). I'm confused...

Ugh.

Edit: This is for the boston area, which isn't really the bay area.
