I'm on vacation right now, but a friend called from work with a situation that actually made me wish I was working instead. It seems that up at the Nanuet Pathmark, one of the stores we service, one of the night crew was unloading a trailer. Full trailer, grocery load, so it was pretty heavy. This genius decides to unload one side of the trailer first, rather that taking one pallet from the right, then one from the left. He brings one of the last ones from the one side into the store, goes around a corner with it, and hears a loud noise from the trailer. Looks back at the bay, no trailer. Calls the store manager, tells him that somebody just stole the trailer.
Of course the manager goes to the back, looks out the bay, and sees the trailer lying on its side.
My friend is the driver that was dispatched to clear out the trailers around out, so the wrecker driver could get the trailer upright. I'm hoping he took a lot of pictures.

I think someone that works here is moonlighting there.

One of the forklift drivers here is pretty... well, let's put it this way. Customers know to move their trucks when the guy says he needs to use the forklift. The guy put some holes in the side of the building with the forklift.
McLaren's F1 building is all glass inside, even the warehouse/garage. The owner guy (name escapes me) said he wanted glass specifically. It's either pristine or shattered. This way everyone takes care when moving stuff around. Here we'd be covered in glass shards.

So as my ebay saga continues and has now been escalated to ebay's resolution center for them to decide I took a gander at their buyer protection policy. The cliff notes version is that they have now set up a system that buyer can just about return anything for any reason and as a seller you pretty much can't do anything about it. Although I countered every complaint the buyer had with documentation, he claims I've not been in communication with him...I provided 15 emails (all sent through ebay) since he purchased the frame most of which were initiated by me. He says I'm not working with him...I provided 4 email where I offered him several options to work this out including taking the frame back but charging him for my shipping and packaging costs or giving him a partial refund...he says that I did not describe the frame accurately but all of his complaints are clearly worded in my ad with pictured to back them up (one complaint is that the seat mast is cut). I'll bet you even with all of this I still lose and have to eat my ebay costs and shipping. Ebay has completely e'ffed anyone who is a seller.

The worst part of using godaddy.com as a web host is having to look at the Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels pics when I log in.
Thank goodness for ftp and ssh.

laying around, 2 of their co-workers would get another lift, raise the lift with the forgotten keys, have the guy on that one climb over to the other one, and leave it like that. The only way for the poor guy to get his lift down was to climb up it.

I got soaked at the end of my ride this morning. I don't mind riding in the rain in general, but riding through traffic in the rain sucks.

I had to catch myself in another thread; I was going to rant about how these overly constrained training programs which you have to follow to the 't' in order to peak for a single specific race are bull****. Then I was thinking about my own training. My coach set it all up, and even though I never actively thought much about it, I was probably doing the exact same thing.
tldr; I'm almost a hypocrite.

Universal Sports sent me an email advertising live streaming coverage of Ironman Hawaii this weekend. On a related note, they're also showing a live stream of paint drying.

Have a PT appointment tomorrow for my back and I can't wait.
She made me stretch down last week to see how far I could touch my toes. I never did that without bending my knees. Back is back to hurting like it did 2 months ago. It was SO much better. No twinges or anything for a month. Sigh...

I worked in a factory for a summer. The guy who had seniority on my shift used to work at a different company whose safety standards were probably not OSHA approved. If somebody left their keys to one of these
laying around, 2 of their co-workers would get another lift, raise the lift with the forgotten keys, have the guy on that one climb over to the other one, and leave it like that. The only way for the poor guy to get his lift down was to climb up it.

Take one of those bad boys. Get in Plastic shipping bin. Take the "safety" lanyard like a water-skier would take a rope. Go to town.
I don't think that was OSHA approved either.

Reminds me of junior high wood shop, when we'd put a belt sander on the ground, hop on and start 'er up. The lighter kids could really rip.

So ebay has put a further 5 day hold on the case in hopes that the buyer and I can 'work it out'. He didn't even respond to my offer he just went directly to the resolution center...me thinks he isn't in the mood to work it out.
