Spring Classics 1989 (spoilers ;))

Thought I would share this gem I found (on Podium Cafe), "Winning" magazine Spring Classics supplement from 1989.

Takes me back. Van Hooydonck, Kelly, Delgado, Yates, 7 Eleven

Worth the download.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

(I was 8 at the time and not watching any cycling, lol!)

Looking back now is pretty cool.

heh I was looking for an axle and opening every box in my bike room. Found all the Winnings I have, from the beginning to about 1990? I don't remember when they got a bit watered down. They're great reading.

I think I had that issue, but long ago "dumpstered" every periodical I owned. Sad.

Thanks for the memories. Love to see the leather helmet days.

Reminds me that Kelly was a champion on all courses, from Paris-Nice to Lombardy, classics and tours.

Those old winings were worth buying for the pictures alone; I have that one in a cupboard, somewhere:-)

All those guys are riding heavy, inefficient steel frames. Amazing they could even finish those races.
