if you're viewing in Internet Explorer...
during the 20sec intro, double-click on the video to make it fullscreen. Then it will properly translate to the live feed. That worked for me.

can anybody tell me why in stage 2 (which i am watching now) scarselli goes out by himself for the early part of the race only to end up dead last? only thing i can figure is the airtime he gave to his sponsers and for popularizing his own name; he was a rolling advertisement for ISD, Selle Italia, and Specialized
197 SCARSELLI Leonardo ITA ISD 3:53:42 10:35
btw FF failed for me; universal actually says FF won't work; i'm using ie 6 with security dropped, updated flash, and cookie freedom - talk about a morals compromise - i've sullied my laptop for cycling porn

cyclingweekly says....

It helped that Leonardo Scarselli (ISD) spent much of the day out on a lone break, and therefore scooped up the top points and time bonuses before the sprinters came through.
Scarselli's solo effort was inevitably doomed as the bunch - propelled by the sprinters' teams - reeled him as the race hit Trieste. Still, it gave Scarselli's ISD squad a nice bit of early TV coverage.

OK, I'm an idiot and couldn't get the universal feed to play on my mac. As near as I can tell, I probably need some quicktime codec plug-in (I get the big "Q" then it stops). Has anyone run into this?
At least I've got the eurosport uk coverage, so there are other options.. Today's stage finish was great!

There is 1 Cervelo Rider on one in the Giro, they are not using the water box drink thing though. There was a standard water bottle cage attached.

Anyone else having trouble with the Universal feed this morning? I'm just getting the Loading daisy wheel. The alternate Universal feeds via cyclingfans also aren't working for me. Now watching the low rez RAI feed via justintv.
BTW, aside from the DiLuca/Petacchi foul up the other day, I've been enjoying the coverage and commentary on Universal; that's gotta be a tough gig doing 2.5 hours of cycling commentary all alone.

Genetics have failed me
The commentator on Universalsports really is a ******bag. It actually adds quite some comedy to the coverage.

Genetics have failed me
Commentator: "And here is Armstrong in the pack. Winning the Tour de France 4 times in a row.. uhhh.. make that 5... he won from 1999 to 2005 7 times in a row."

Arrrgh....trying for the last 20 minutes, but the feed won't load for me this morning. Blank screen with the spinning "loading" icon. Tried refreshing several times, but no go. Overloaded servers? Other web pages loading just fine.

i dunno why folks have trouble finding feeds... Steephill.tv has a big list of them. restricted.. unrestricted.. if they are in english or not.
today the Eurosport and Universal video were pretty sync'd up so i listed to Sean kelly and whoever on Euro and watched the bigger and better video on Universal (safari on Mac) worked great.
wtf is with the Universal guy's inflection? every sentence ends in AHHHH!
