all the gc riders up front but time for sprinters to organize.

bdcheung 05-20-09 09:02 AM

I'm going with Cancellara for the win. Mark my words.

substructure 05-20-09 09:03 AM

it's "hotting" up! Who will win?

bbattle 05-20-09 09:04 AM

all back together.

Money on Cavendish.

+1.

I'd love to see an obscure solo attack though.

bbattle 05-20-09 09:06 AM

attacks everywhere at 1.5km

gasparatto

substructure 05-20-09 09:07 AM

crash?

phew. no crashes. But Cav pulls it out with no answer.

bbattle 05-20-09 09:08 AM

Cav in control

bdcheung 05-20-09 09:08 AM

incredible speed

bbattle 05-20-09 09:08 AM

Cavendish crushes all before him.

bdcheung 05-20-09 09:09 AM

absolutely incredible. he made it over the mountain, too.

grolby 05-20-09 09:09 AM

Looks like 1st Cav, 2nd Tyler Farrar?

FixdGearHead 05-20-09 09:09 AM

Hard to argue with the claim he's the fastest man in the peloton right now

bdcheung 05-20-09 09:10 AM

Farrar had a tough fight to get that 2nd though - lots of respect for him.

bbattle 05-20-09 09:10 AM

all Farrar could do was hold on. Petacchi third.

He's getting better and better, maybe he'll start getting some big wins soon.

bdcheung 05-20-09 09:12 AM

I like Farrar because he's scrappy, like McEwen.

100% agreed. :thumb:

Tomorrow, my money is on Levi winning the time trial and DiLuca loses the Maglia Rosa. I don't think Lance will win but he will do very well.

Any idea on how well Boasson Hagen will do?

CrimsonKarter21 05-20-09 09:19 AM

Farrar needs a leadout train like Cav. He'll start reeling in the big wins then. Farrar is doing now what McEwen was doing last year with Silence-Lotto.

I do not know who the ISD team is or what their sponsor does, but they are making their presence known in this Giro.

Can DiLuca time trial?

Yes, he's capable of riding a fairly decent time trial.

However, if he's within 3min of Basso, Leipheimer or Rogers tomorrow, that will be a miracle. They're contenders to win the TT; he'll be trying to limit his losses. Different leagues.

Dok, do you think all the climbing in tomorrow's TT could play significantly to his advantage, or is it still a long shot for him?
