I think he got a good read on what Cunego had in the tank and didn't feel the need to get right back on his wheel. Popo did some awesome descending there. Pretty scary looking leaning way forward like that.

Hmmmm the finishing climb is ~10km, I don't think 25 seconds is enough to stay away from Cunego.
