Won My First Race Today!!

I normally post in the "race report thread" and "pics of you suffering in a race" thread, but I thought I'd make an exception since I'm PUMPED!!

O'Fallon Gold Cup, Cat5. 25 person field. 30 minutes +3 laps. 3 small "climbs" with an uphill finish.

No one wanted to do any work so my teamate initiated all the action today, including the leadout that 'sealed the deal' (thanks again Jason... you're the man!). I came around the final turn 2nd wheel, and gassed it with roughly 400 meters to go. Held on for the win, the medal, the prize (a six-pack of O'Fallon gold beer), and all the Cat 5 glory one can handle in a day .

Uphill Finish:

I did that tonight and I didn't win a race yet.

More the reason to train harder tomorrow!

I'm sure they're awesome shoes, BUT, they're hard to take your eyes off of because they're HIDEOUS.

Great question...

I went with something similar to
but couldn't quite pull it off with the same bravado as Cav did

It looked more like this, courtesy of heads up! from a couple weeks ago
