Working Man's Classic this week in Richmond?
Anyone else riding this race? I'll be there for at least the Tuesday and Thursday races. I teach a class on Wednesday afternoon, so I might be able to get there for that one.
Lot's of primes too. I'll probably end up with some extragear certificates when I really want socks.

Day One: Feeling ok. The course is cool, but very bumpy. I lined up near the front, but struggled to hold position sprinting out of the corner followed by the false flat. I wasn't able to go for any primes and eventually I got ground down and dropped. Managed to TT ok but never made it back. Turns out my seat post had slipped down over all the bumps. Bah!
Day Two: Feeling a little sore, and no time for a warm up after finishing up teaching. Rode straight to the start. Course reversed, which left a little more recovery. Still got tired after sprinting from corners, and got dropped a fair bit later than the previous night. Discovered that my seatpost had slipped again. Hung out and had frites/mayo.
Day Three: Got there early, with a brand new seat post clamp! Felt awful, so warmed up and lined up on the front row, knowing that this was going to be a do or die solo effort. Went from the gun, got clear and blew up. I nearly made it to the finish line for the 1st prime, but got pipped. Oh well. I was really blown and couldn't stay in the pack after that.
1 + 2 were good fun. 3 was frustrating. I also realised I spent $100 racing, not including all the work I had to do on the team bike to make it work properly!

are you the UVA guy with the steel bike? (if you are a 4/5)
I did the 4/5.
Day1: pack finish
Day2: pack finish
Day3: I think I might have gotten 10th. there's a "?" on the results.
Man I wish I could race three nights a week. I want to get fast enough to go to Belgium one summer.

That being said, I'd love to do the same...
Then again, I'm pretty sure that my successes in the future will probably include crits, crits, and uhhh crits...
