Coming from DC on the Custis, it is that exit right behind the shopping center, just before the switch back leading to the pedestrian bridge over 29. You can see the parking lot with the big wheel truck parked there, if you look to the left when you approach the shopping center, there is an exit before and after it. If you hit the switch back you have gone too far.

It's right before the "S OF DEATH".

I see 3 c3-sollay guys at races semi-regularly. One guy I know is local, I think bobs bike shop is their shop sponsor. One of the other dudes is a really strong MTB racer, he was constantly attacking at Ft Richie and he was in a winning break with 2 of my teammates at murad. Other than that I know nothing.

"bob's bike shop" that's it. I knew it was a 3 letter generic name. My brain sucks.

^^ show up and hang on for dear life. It's a loop so you just jump in the group when they come around (riders from every club).

I don't know about the noon rides so much... but Thursday evenings they slowly ramp it up around the edge of the peninsula, then sprint for a line near the end of the loop. Then ramp it up again... and again...

Dude you sure do ask a lot of questions

No idea what your experience with pack riding and pace lining but it would be good to know the basics.

HP: Thursday evening, 5m till when ever, group size varies, no real etiquite for joining, just hop in to the group, there are riders at all levels. It gets fast some times and each lap has a sprint that ends at the second restroom on the back side. If you get dropped you can wait in one of the lots at the top of the loop an wait for the group to come by again. Many times there are several groups out at a time.

HP: Noon ride is typically a lot, lot faster, 30ish, strung out lots of the local 1/2/3 powerhouses show up and break legs. But it depends who shows up that day. Probably want to get a lay of the land on Thursday nights before doing the noon, unless you are already one of the strong guys with really good pace line skills.

The Wakefield Ride (Tuesday night worlds) has a Thursday counterpart that is a bit nicer.

the PPTC folks had a couple of Tuesday-Thursday rides in / around old town and arlington that were well paced, and a good place to pick up some pack skills. I believe that Most team-rides this time of year will be more focused on Maintaining / acquiring fitness; which can make "getting comfortable in a pack" hard.

Yeah, it does get fast. But I've never managed to not hang in. When the weather is nice, the pack is so large you can work as hard as you want to....or just hang on the back.
