Can't wait until next year:

Radio Shack will be the primary sponsor for Lance Armstrong and Johan Bruyneel's new cycling team, an industry source told ESPN.com's Bonnie D. Ford on Thursday.

The Web site domain teamradioshack.com was registered by Capital Sports & Entertainment, Armstrong's longtime management company based in Austin, Texas, on July 20.

Armstrong's spokesman would not confirm or deny the information, but an official announcement was expected later Thursday.

Radio Shack has been involved in NBA and MLS sponsorships and is currently a NASCAR sponsor.

Bonnie D. Ford covers cycling for ESPN.com.

I'm surprised LA didn't do better at the TT. I would have expected him to atleast take the top 10. Still a great show from everyone.

What a tour!

Well, stage races are a lot different. What Fabian's FTP was three weeks ago, and what it was this morning are vastly different. Alberto's FTP hasn't taken as much of a hit.

I am too.

My guess at GC top 5 from 6/19. I hit some, missed some.

1. Contador
2. Evans
3. Sastre
4. Lance (I won't be shocked at all if he's not top five though)
5. Menchov, Schleck or Leipheimer

I think it's safe to say that nobody is gonna catch Contador. How about Andy though? 3rd through 5th are all extremely close, but Andy is 1:14 up on Lance. I think Andy has to make a mistake in order for Kloden to get on the podium with Lance and Contador. If Andy just rides like he can, I think he'll stay in 2nd.

serious question: three weeks ago, at least a few people here said Armstrong would be lucky to get a top 10. What are your thoughts now?

Getting back to yesterday, it now looks like Kloden would quite possibly have been knocked off the podium by Wiggins anyway, irrespective of what Contador did with the Schlecks.

if lance wouldn't have broken his collarbone, he would have won the whole thing.

if levi hadn't crashed out, he would be in 3rd right now.

if fabian weighed 10kg less, he would be in the top 5.

in seriousness, that is an epic ride by alberto. hats off.

Andy keeps 2nd, unless he makes a mistake and bonks. And Frank is still within striking distance of the podium, only 34" behind LA. 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th are all still in play. It would be awesome if Brad Wiggins had a really good day and got in front Lance to get the first-ever British podium, but holding his current position or slipping to 5th or 6th is more likely, I guess.

I just don't think his ego was capable of comprehending finishing off the podium.

+1 I didn't expect this level of riding from him. Amazing to even be in sight of the podium after the TT today.

Contador dopes. I know it as a fact. 100%. No other way to see it. Guilty until proven innocent.

Radio Shack?

Omfg. I don't see how they can keep their stores open (like 1 customer at a time, always), now they're sponsoring a team?

I do need some more heat-shrink insulation tubing for my cable ends though...

I wish I liked Contador. Dude can ride. I just don't like the guy. His performances are so perfect though I've thought about the doping thing myself a couple of times. Too bad we've gotten to that point where a good performance automatically makes you consider the rider is doping.

On a related note, Radio Shack's stock price is up 1.4 percent from where they opened today.
